Hi All!

Business:

I figured it'd be best, motivation-wise, if we checked in with each other everyday. I can post daily beneath an LJ-cut. Does that sound okay? Fairly ignorable for those not wishing to be all challenge-y?

The good stuff:

How'd your first day go? Yesterday I listened to the Talking Equine Show on my iPod and powerwalked for an hour, then came home and worked out with my (feel free to laugh, really) Thighmaster. I also rode my pony bareback, which was a blast.

Thighmasters are pieces of crap! Anyway. Like I'm the first person to say that.

Here is an article on the benefits of being able to run farther as opposed to faster for y'all. I liked it, 'cause I like running but am super slow.

Last night I showered without washing my hair to trick myself into going to the gym this morning before work (okay, that makes sense in my brain). It's working! See you guys! Have a good day!

Emily

good for you! today i rode for 30 mins (with a saddle though) and then i took my dog for a walk/jog. we ran half a mile and powerwalked the second half, and then took the long way up a big hill, so i count it as one good mile.
Excellent! Sounds like fun!
Yesterday I power walked for 30 minutes and worked in my garden for an hour. I didn't quite burn 500 calories, but then, I ate a lot less than my 2000 calorie limit.

I haven't gotten to today yet. Still at work.
Gardening! That sounds relaxing!
it does until you have to start seriously trimming back rose bushes and small trees that have popped up. And then stuff all that into a yard bag so it can be hauled away. I worked up quite a sweat! But my garden thanks me. :)
Did about 200 repetitions of curls plus some major stretches, then did lots of walking and standing at work for 5 hours. Not much nor enough...but it's something! :)
I rode for an hour on a new horse who was strongish, and then worked out at the gym for an hour. I couldn't do my super cardio machine because I lacked motivation, but I burned around 500 there.
Okay, since I have a gym/farm I'll give you my workout yestday. Unloaded 40 50# feed bags, stacked or poured them into buckets (weight training), rode 4 not so sane horses in the ungodly SC heat(cardio, sauna, and powerwalking all of them to cool them out 10 min each so 40 min total). Mixed up feed and loaded up hay to deliver to the 14 horses here (just sheer madness) Collapsed in the house with air conditioning and a good book. :)
